Testimonials
"I am privileged to be a platinum donor for SWR Foundation and to have Created My Legacy. I believe that educating our industry is imperative to the future of the sealant, waterproofing and restoration industry. The decision to donate was easy for me because I support not only my company, but the industry at large and I feel great about helping SWR Foundation achieve the Ultimate Challenge: Educating Our Industry." - Jeff Erdly, Masonry Preservation Services, Inc. |

Thus, donating to help support the scholarship fund is vital to allow future generation to pursue a career in a rapidly changing world. Kyle Barnes was awarded the SWR Foundation Scholarship for the 2009 school year. Barnes says by receiving this scholarship, it will absolutely further his interest in the sealant, waterproofing, and restoration industry. He has worked summer jobs in the restoration business but am looking forward to college courses that will further my knowledge of other construction specialties. - Kyle Barnes, SWR Foundation Scholarship 2009, Mississippi State University, MSU, MS |
Gabe Halsey was awarded the SWR Foundation Scholarship for the 2007 school year. Halsey has interned for SWR Institute member Frank Halsey, Mid-Continental Restoration Company, for the past couple of summers. “I expect this scholarship to help keep me focused through school and continue working in the restoration industry and possibly for Mid-Continental,” said Halsey, “During the past summers I have worked and made enough money to last me through the school year, but this summer I'm doing an internship which will not pay as much as I would be able to make working on a restoration crew, so this scholarship is very important for me.” Halsey has accepted an internship in San Marcos, California and hopes to have the opportunity to accept a full-time position upon completion of his education. Halsey has only a few more semesters of school left. Halsey was presented his scholarship at the “Big Launch” of SWR Foundation’s “Create A Legacy” at the Winter Technical Meeting in Maui. - Gabe Halsey, SWR Foundation Scholarship 2007, Pittsburgh State University, Pittsburgh, KS |

Jeff Huguelet was awarded the SWR Foundation Scholarship for the 2006 school year. Huguelet has interned for SWR Institute member Bob Mazur, RAM Construction Services, for four years. Huguelet explains, “This scholarship has furthered my interest in the sealant, waterproofing, and restoration industry by allowing me to continue my education without a large financial burden. Also, because of my past experience with RAM Construction Services I am and will continue to be interested in this specific area of construction.” After Huguelet finishes school he plans to look for a full time position solely in the construction industry. In addition to the SWR Foundation Scholarship, RAM Construction Services is equally matching the sum to help Huguelet pay for his tuition. - Jeff Huguelet, SWR Foundation Scholarship 2006, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI

I believe SWR Institute’s goal to be a resource to and improve the knowledge and professionalism of the industry through student education is of utmost importance to the success of our industry.
